What is with this over-analysis? We kill ourselves thinking of everything under the sun, except ourselves and our happiness?
I went out on a date after the longest time last night. It felt good to feel appreciated. You ponder over ethics of what's right and wrong, societal values, perceptions, attitudes and intentions of other people. And you worry yourself silly over imaginary and non-existent ideas.
Then at one point of time, you learn to let go. You learn to enjoy the music. You learn to relax and breathe. You lean over and take interest in conversations. You accept the admiring glances and the occasional brush against your cheek.
And then just as easily.....you allow it to happen....not just the kiss.....but the inner Goddess in you to emerge and call the shots in your life! She was right there within you riling to manifest, but waiting for your cue. And you let her free, if only for a short while.
Yes, I take charge of my life and my desires. I take charge now to reclaim my life and live it the way I want to. I refuse to be burdened and led by the pressures to conform to pre-set notions of society and accepted norms of culture and tradition. I am free and unfettered. I choose my happiness over alignment with traditionality.
I choose myself and in choosing myself....I set myself free!
